Lifecycle Replacement of Existing 60 kW Generator
RFP 2026-0029
PURPOSE OF PROPOSAL
The Savannah Airport Commission (SAC) is seeking proposals from a qualified
contractors for the complete lifecycle replacement of an existing 60 kW natural gas
emergency generator with a new 60 kW diesel generator system, including a minimum
3‑day fuel capacity base-mounted fuel tank, day tank, new reinforced concrete pad,
underground conduit installation, electrical reconnections, startup, testing, and
training.
Participation in this RFP process is at the sole expense of the proposer. Any costs
incurred in the preparation or submission of a proposal shall not be reimbursed by the
Savannah Airport Commission. Proposals for these services will be received by the
Savannah Airport Commission until 5:00 P.M. (EST), September 30, 2026, at which
time they will be opened by the Commission’s Purchasing Manager, whose contact
information is below. All responses to this proposal must be submitted through
https://savannahairport.bonfirehub.com/, and will not be accepted via email or
mail.

The selected contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, necessary permits, testing, and disposal necessary to deliver a fully operational generator system. Work includes utility locates, furnishing and installing a new 60 kW diesel generator with a minimum 3-day fuel capacity base-mounted fuel tank, constructing a new reinforced concrete pad, installing underground conduit and wiring, making electrical connections and integration, performing startup, testing, and commissioning, providing on-site training for owner's personnel, and removing and disposing of the existing 60 kW natural gas generator.
