The Fort Valley Utility Commission is seeking a highly qualified company to design and build approximately 4,000 LF of 20" fusible PVC effluent pipe discharging from a new wastewater treatment plant using open cut and jack & bore methods and manholes. The effluent pipe will be installed approximately 6' below grade. Approximately 185 LF of the new pipe will be jack & bored under a railroad owned by Norfolk Southern. The bored pipe will be encased within a 30" steel casing pipe and will be bored approximately 6' below normal grade and 24' below the base of the rail. A 40' launching pit and a 15' receiving pit will be dug to perform the jack & bore. The project will also include erosion control and all other ancillary items for a complete effluent pipe installation.Proposal packages may be requested via email and should be directed to Tara Giles at tgiles@fvutil.com. Upon request of a proposal package, the submitting firm will be added to the "List of Proposers'.
