The intent of this advertisement is to obtain competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors for Franklin-Hart Airport – Hangar Development Phase 1. This project consists of site grading for two new hangar buildings, installation of drainage structures, construction of new asphalt apron pavement, and design-build construction of a 10-unit T-Hangar building including concrete foundation. The Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to fulfill the terms and conditions of this bid.

Sealed bids will be received by the Franklin-Hart Airport Authority, Canon, Georgia at the Office of Chuck
Floyd, Airport Manager, 823 Airport Road, Canon, GA, 30520 on Wednesday, August 19th, 2026, until
10:00 AM Local Time at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud for the
improvements to the Airport as listed herein. Bids received after the bid opening will not be accepted.
Bids must be sealed envelopes with the bidder’s name, full mailing address, and General Contractor
License Number shown as the return address. Sealed envelopes shall be marked as follows: “BID
ENCLOSED – Hangar Development Site Preparation, Canon, Georgia. Project No. 013039001.” and mailed
or hand delivered prior to the bid opening date and time to:

Please note that bids will only be considered by those bidders and subcontractors currently pre-qualified
with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Bids will be required to remain open for acceptance or
rejection for one-hundred and twenty (120) calendar days after the date of opening of bids.
A prebid conference is required on this project to discuss as a minimum, the following items: material
requirements; submittals; Quality Control/Quality Assurance requirements; the construction safety and
phasing plan including airport access and staging areas; and unique airfield paving construction
requirements.
