Purpose and Background
The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is a regional planning and intergovernmental
coordination agency serving the 11-county Atlanta metropolitan area and its municipalities. The
ARC Office of Information Technology relies on a broad portfolio of on-premises, cloud, and
SaaS-hosted systems to support the agency’s work program across the areas of community
development, transportation planning, workforce development, aging services, natural
resources, research, urban area security, and general administrative functions.

Proposal Submittal
All proposals must be submitted electronically through the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC)
procurement website. Proposal submitted by any other method (including email, mail, fax, or
hand delivery) may not be accepted unless specified in the solicitation document.
Respondents must register
The awarded vendor shall provide data protection for virtualized infrastructure (50-70 VMs, 50-200 TB), physical servers, cloud workloads (AWS, Azure, GCP), Microsoft 365/SaaS applications (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams), and structured databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL). The solution must include policy-based backup scheduling, immutable WORM-compliant storage, cloud replication with 15-minute minimum frequency for Tier 1 systems, recovery capabilities with sub-5-minute RTOs/RPOs, and a single-pane-of-glass management interface. The vendor must provide professional services including discovery, solution design, deployment, policy/runbook development, acceptance testing (including a DR simulation), and training. Ongoing support includes 24x7x365 technical support, hardware maintenance (next-business-day on-site), software updates, and quarterly business reviews.
