The contractor must supply and install a load tap changer (Reinhausen type RMV-II-1500 or equal) that retrofits onto the existing GE LTR 500 GU LTC on the converter station SPARE transformer. The installation includes removal of the old LTC, making all high voltage connections inside the transformer, routing and bracing leads, vacuum filling the transformer with oil, and functional testing. Additionally, the contractor must replace 6 low voltage bushings, two conservator bladders, install a maintenance free dehydrating breather, replace sudden pressure and pressure relief protection devices, replace oil liquid gauge and winding temperature gauges, and supply new gaskets for the entire transformer. WAPA will provide oil storage, an oil pump, a crane and operator, and access to a conduit bender and threader.
