The contractor must provide and deliver up to 50,000 cubic yards (estimated 67,500 tons) of natural or manufactured sand that is clean, free from organic matter, trash, debris, and staining minerals, with a median grain size (d50) of 0.3mm to 1.18mm, maximum 3% retained on #4 sieve, maximum 3% passing #200 sieve, and color within specified Munsell® Soil Color ranges. Sand must be delivered via roadways to designated staging areas at each beach location: Pickering Beach (up to 15,000 cubic yards), Kitts Hummock (up to 15,000 cubic yards), and Slaughter Beach (up to 15,000 cubic yards). The vendor must be capable of providing a minimum of 1,000 cubic yards of sand per day at a project location. Gradation test reports must be submitted prior to delivery.
