- WORK OBJECTIVE
FPUA seeks one (1) supplier for the purchase and delivery of approximately 125,400 lbs. (approximately 11,000 gallons) per year of Ortho/Polyphosphate Blended Liquid (Corrosion Inhibitor) to the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA) Water Treatment Plant (WTP) as required. The quantity is a good faith estimate based on previous and/or anticipated usage. FPUA reserves the right to purchase more or less than that quantity to conform to the actual need. FPUA typically orders 6 to 8 totes (275 gallons each) every other month.
SPECIFICATION- CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The Ortho/Polyphosphate Blended Liquid-Corrosion Inhibitor (Product) shall have an:
• Ortho/polyphosphate ratio of 50/50 with percentage (%) PO4 total between 33.0 – 38.0.
• The Product shall be a stable, clear to light amber liquid that is free of impurities.
• The Product shall have a neat pH of between 4.0 -7.0 and a specific gravity of 1.35 – 1.45.
• The product shall be ANSI/NSF Standard 60, approved for use as a corrosion inhibitor in potable water.
o The Awarded vendor must maintain a current listing with NSF throughout the term of the contract.
o Proposers must provide a copy of their current NSF product registration with their submission.
