The purpose of this project is to construct the 0.90 -mile Frosty Hollow Trail in Middletown Township, Bucks County, PA. The new trail would provide ADA complaint upgrades along approximately 0.30 miles of existing concrete trail and 0.60 miles of completely new trail. The project includes two tax map parcels 22-59-26 and 22-60-109.
The trail is planned to traverse a PECO transmission line within tax map parcel 22-59-26. Any trail traversing the powerline corridor must comply with the conditions identified within an existing agreement between the County and PECO, included here as Exhibit D, and PECO standards S-7070, S-7073, and S-1011. Additional security features and coordination with PECO may be required as determined through the design review process. The trail itself will be composed of asphalt, unless a more appropriate surface is determined during design and engineering.
Bucks County has secured a TASA Funding Grant that will be used for the design and engineering of the trail. Therefore, all work must conform to TASA standards and requirements. Ideally, the selected consultant will have a demonstrated background with TASA projects.
