- Project Description: The project generally consists of architectural, structural, mechanical, and
electrical improvements to the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), including replacement of groundlevel
ventilation louvers and HVAC upgrades; exterior waterproofing, repairs, cleaning, and painting
of tower walls and cab metal panels; installation of a permanent roof over the ground-level electrical
room; replacement of the cab roofing, glazing system, hurricane shutters, window seals, ground-level
exterior doors, and associated components; corrosion repair and recoating of catwalk handrails;
inspection and minor maintenance of fire protection systems; replacement of the fire alarm and
lightning protection systems; and installation of new conduit supports at the cab roof. Bid alternates
include repair of exterior stucco on concrete tie beams and columns..
Scheduled hours for performing all work: 7:00AM to 4:00PM; Monday through Friday for work not
affecting ATCT cab operations with night work required
