FRCC Security Upgrade, College-wide Phase 1 of 2

The selected Design/Build Entity shall begin with a comprehensive assessment of existing conditions of the access-control pathway at applicable locations, including physical openings, door assemblies, locking hardware, electronic components, controllers, power supplies, cabling, and network connectivity. The assessment will result in a documented collegewide target-state architecture and implementation plan. The project will then design and construct a standardized, scalable physical access control environment capable of supporting centralized management, emergency security functions (including remotely initiated lockdown), and future integration with other security and enterprise systems. The work includes identifying components that may remain in service, those requiring modification or replacement, and addressing power, communications, and physical infrastructure deficiencies within available Phase 1 funding. The project will also establish resilience, backup-power, mechanical-override, and degraded-operation strategies.
