Work will involve safeguarding hazardous mine features with designed closure methods. 11 shafts will be safeguarded. Closure methods include steel grates, polyurethane foam plugs and steel grates with bat access. The work includes mobilization/demobilization, preparation of a Project Safety, Health, and Environmental Action Plan (SHEAP), installation of mine closures for features NM-01, NM-02, NM-05, NM-06, NM-12, NM-14, NM-15, NM-16, NM-17, NM-18, and NM-19, and additional steel grating as directed. Revegetation of disturbed areas is required, with Richlawn Organic fertilizer 3-6-3 or approved equivalent at a rate of 300 lb/acre and certified weed free wood mulch supplied by the Contractor, and seed supplied by DRMS.
