Multi-Language Interpretation & Document Translation Service

The contractor shall provide multi-language interpretation services (onsite, phone, and video), document translation services, and sign language services for the Cincinnati Board of Health. Services shall be provided at any Board of Health location or community site during normal business hours and on weekends, and interpreters must be available 24/7/365. The contractor must have personnel fluent in English and the listed languages, provide accurate translation, perform all HR functions including tax withholding and scheduling, and compensate interpreters on a 6-minute incremental basis. Interpreters must pre-call patients the day before appointments, pass criminal background checks, maintain HIPAA confidentiality, and have visible picture ID. The contractor must provide web-based scheduling with unique logins and training. Document translation is charged per word, with large documents possibly quoted per document. The contractor must maintain Professional Liability Insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence. The contractor must be a local vendor within 50 miles of Cincinnati and maintain local, in-person interpreter resources.
