Bonding Requirements
The City plans to require the following bond(s) for this solicitation: Bid Bond-City required Bond to ensure that vendors do not retract bids from the time they submit a bit until the contract has been executed. Payment Bond-City required Bond to ensure that subcontractors and/or suppliers are paid for any work performed. Construction of a 14,600 SF, two-story, 3-bay mass timber firehouse that will be the first mass timber firehouse in the Southeast US, meeting Living Future's Zero Carbon certification for total project embodied carbon, complying with Charlotte's Sustainable Facilities Policy, and supporting the operations of the Fire Department.
