The contract consists of supplying landscape materials on an as-needed basis, including mulch (granular, shredded hardwood, engineered wood fiber, processed wood chips, rubber playground, composted leaf), decorative stone (river rock, granite boulders), soil (topsoil, pulverized topsoil, engineered soil), soil amendments (blended fertilizer, elemental sulfur, gypsum, hi-cal lime, monoammonium phosphate, sulphate of potash, mycorrhizal inoculants, slow-release organic nitrogen fertilizer with iron, fertilizer tablets), herbicide additives (spray pattern indicator), erosion control (wood-fiber excelsior mat, single net knitted straw mat, double net knitted straw mat, double net knitted straw/coconut mat, straw wattles, steel anchor pins, wood stakes), grass seed (IDOT Class 1, Class 1A, Class 2A, Custom Rest Area Lawn Mixture), cover crop (oats, ReGreen, alfalfa), native seed (multiple mixes for dry-mesic, mesic-wet, and saturated soil conditions), trees (evergreen, large canopy, small canopy, large ornamental, small ornamental), shrubs, perennial plants (plugs and gallons), and delivery services (small, regular, large). The vendor must be located or have material pickup sites within a two-hour drive of Ottawa, IL, and IDOT will pick up most materials. Delivery is primarily to IDOT's District 3 Landscape Yard in Ottawa, IL, with alternate delivery sites throughout District 3.
