The scope of this project is to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install additional structural support for the AGO building mechanical room penthouse. Upgrades and repairs to the building's Geothermal system require the addition of two (2) water tanks to be installed inside the existing penthouse. Due to the increased size and weight of these tanks, a new exterior steel roof frame must be constructed above the penthouse to suspend and support the tanks internally. The contractor shall perform all work between 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal and state holidays. A comprehensive Safety Plan must be submitted along with the bid proposal. All materials must conform to the design loads and specifications detailed in the attached plans. The work area shall remain clean and free of debris at the end of each workday. Vendor must provide safety barriers for all equipment, crane placement, materials, and other construction areas. Provide a new exposed steel roof frame above the existing penthouse to vertically support the new water holding tanks. Hanging supports will be braced to the penthouse floor for seismic restraint. Roof penetration of the penthouse is required; the Prime Contractor is responsible for coordinating and subcontracting all roof penetrations and patching to the current warranty holder: Designed Roofing Systems, Inc.
