USWFS BOISE VIRTUAL FENCE

The contractor must provide a virtual fencing solution for two operators managing 345 head of cattle in Big Lake Pasture, Blackstone Allotment, southern Idaho, for two years. The system must include VFDs adjustable to fit various animal sizes, work without full-time cellular network coverage, be powered by solar and/or battery, operate in remote and rugged terrain, provide humane stimulus through auditory and electronic cues, support multiple virtual fence lines, and allow management of multiple groups across multiple jurisdictions. If base stations are used, they must work without full-time cell coverage or electricity, be powered by solar and battery with a minimum of 5 days operation with reduced sunlight, require little maintenance, cover 5,000-10,000 acres depending on topography, communicate with VFDs for cattle location and grazing area changes, interface with VFDs to apply stimuli, provide GPS tracking, maintain battery life of 6 months or greater, and be mounted on BLM trailers. The system must include continued product training, support, and troubleshooting, and does not need to connect to government IT systems.
