399nm Optical Assembly for Laser Conditioning

The contractor must design and build a custom, highly-rigid and low-thermal-expansion optical assembly on a glass or Invar baseplate, with optical components bonded via epoxy or equivalent techniques. The assembly includes government-furnished laser system, optical isolator, volume Bragg grating, acousto-optic modulator, beam-steering optics, polarization-control optics, dichroic mirror, photodetector, free-space laser shutter, fiber-coupling, and photonic crystal fiber. It must be mounted in a 19-inch rack drawer with vibration isolation and panel-mounted interconnects. Fiber coupling efficiency must exceed 70% at each output port, with output power variation less than 10% over +/-15°C around 25°C. A test report documenting per-port efficiency, output power, polarization extinction ratio, and thermal test results is required. Delivery, installation, and training shall be completed within 16-18 weeks after receipt of order.
