Solicitation number 1232SA26Q1029 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Contractor will install a new USDA-furnished stainless-steel eyewash and safety shower unit at the designated exterior location between Labs 105 and 107. Work includes installation of all required water supply piping, fittings, valves, and connections, including a thermostatic mixing valve to provide tepid water in accordance with safety standards. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238220 The small business size standard is $19.0 Million This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
Contractor will install a new USDA-furnished stainless-steel eyewash and safety shower unit at the designated exterior location between Labs 105 and 107. Work includes installation of all required water supply piping, fittings, valves, and connections, including a thermostatic mixing valve to provide tepid water in accordance with safety standards. Contractor will connect hot and cold-water supplies from the attic space and construct a concrete slab with proper drainage slopes to provide safe access to the unit. Additional work includes demolition of existing brick as required, installation of handrails along both sides of the adjacent ramp, and restoration of disturbed areas. Upon completion, the contractor will test the system and coordinate with the site CDSO to verify proper operation, water flow, and compliance with applicable safety requirements. Additionally, the contractor will remove the existing safety shower serving Lab 207 and install a new USDA-furnished safety shower in the hallway outside the laboratory, including connecting to the existing water supply, replacing the associated control valve, modifying the ceiling as necessary, and installing a sump pit with float switch piped to the nearest plumbing drain.
