Description:
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), FCI Cumberland, intends to issue a solicitation to refurbish the institution’s wastewater lift station. Work includes demolition and removal of existing pumps, grinder, auger, electrical disconnects, transfer switch, and controls; installation of new lift station equipment; electrical upgrades; controls modernization; testing; commissioning; and staff training. All work must maintain continuous sewage system operation and comply with Federal, State, Local, NEC, NFPA 820, OSHA, and FBOP security requirements.

Scope of Work Includes: (See attached Statement of Work)
• Removal and disposal of existing lift station equipment.
• Installation of new stainless‑steel NEMA 4X control panel with PLC/relay logic, VFDs, starters, surge protection, HOA switches.
• New level‑sensing system with redundancy and audio/visual alarms.
• Installation of new grinder, auger, diverters, three wet‑well pumps, and three spare pumps.
• Replacement of incoming disconnects, automatic transfer switch, and associated wiring.
• Upgraded grounding, conduits, surge/lightning protection, and fail‑safe logic.
• Full functional testing, hydrostatic testing, manufacturer startup, and calibration.
• Minimum 6 hours of on‑site training and provision of all as‑built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, schematics, and PLC programming.
