The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain technical assistance services from a contractor to assist and support the NRC staff to:
(1) review of submittals related to Flow-Induced Vibration (FIV) analysis and testing
(2) update NRC guidance related to FIV analysis and testing
(3) prepare knowledge management training related to FIV analysis and testing
The purpose of this solicitation is to obtain technical assistance services from a contractor to assist and support the NRC staff to: (1) review of submittals related to Flow-Induced Vibration (FIV) analysis and testing (2) update NRC guidance related to FIV analysis and testing (3) prepare knowledge management training related to FIV analysis and testing
The contractor shall review applicant or licensee submittals related to dynamic analysis and testing, including the reactor internals comprehensive vibration assessment program (CVAP); review four submittals related to the reactor internals CVAP; audit the applicant's internal documents and issue requests for additional information; present findings to the ACRS; prepare a technical evaluation report; participate in preapplication engagement; update Regulatory Guide 1.20 based on operating experience and lessons learned; update other NRC guidance documents such as SRP Section 3.9.2; and prepare knowledge management training materials on vibration mechanisms, analysis and testing methods, data acquisition, and signal processing. The estimated level of effort is 500 hours per year for a Subject Matter Expert across a base year and four option years, totaling 2,500 hours.
