The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment, and other items and services necessary to harvest pine and hardwood timber at Arnold Air Force Base. The sale consists of a complete harvest of all merchantable timber covering approximately 40.5 acres. Timber to be harvested is estimated at approximately 763 tons of pine saw-timber, 756 tons of pine pulpwood, 91,200 board feet of hardwood saw-timber, and 314 tons of hardwood pulpwood. The contractor must remove all merchantable timber, weigh or scale it for payment, and comply with Tennessee Best Management Practices for logging. The contract is a pay-as-cut firm fixed price contract with bids placed on a per unit measure by product type. The period of performance is twelve (12) months from the date of the Notice to Proceed.
