The purpose of this project is to remove, replace, and repair designated livestock gates within the 341st Missile Complex. The scope of work requires the Contractor to cut existing fence lines and install new gates in areas where property owners currently have wire over gates. Alternatively, the Contractor may be directed to temporarily cut the fence for access and repair it with a splice after the work party has proceeded through the right-of-way.
All actions require the Contractor to install a fluorescent delineator coil and transfer any existing metal Government Number Tags to the new posts. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to accomplish these tasks.
The Contractor shall cut existing fence lines and install new gates where property owners have wire over gates, or temporarily cut the fence for access and repair it with a splice. The Contractor must install a fluorescent delineator coil on each anchor post and transfer any existing metal Government Number Tags to new posts. All work requires furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and supervision. Excavation safety controls require hand digging within three feet of buried communications cables, electrical cables, or gas lines until the utility is fully exposed; cable and piping routes must be marked before excavation; and an approved Work Clearance Permit (AF Form 103) must be obtained from Missile Engineering before any excavation. The project worksites are grouped so that all gates in one flight are completed before starting the next flight, with mobilization distances less than 10 miles between gates. The 341st Missile Complex consists of 15 flights within a 160-mile radius of Great Falls, Montana.
