THE AWARDEE OF THIS CONTRACT WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A SUPERINTENDENT AT ALL TIMES WORK IS BEING PERFORMED ON THE PROJECT (SEE CLAUSE AT FAR 52.236-6). THE SUPERINTENDENT IS CONSIDERED A KEY POSITION. THIS POSITION SHALL NOT BE SUBCONTRACTED AND MUST WORK DIRECTLY FOR THE PRIME CONTRACTOR. ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED SIMULTANEOUSLY .
RESULTING CONTRACT WILL BE FIRM-FIXED-PRICE (FFP)
The work includes concrete repair of existing cell walls, headwall, wingwalls, and apron; demolition involving sawcutting, chipping, and cleaning; cast-in-place concrete for new barrier wall and patching; backfilling, compacting, and regrading of erosion areas; installation of a wire-tied rip rap blanket; installation of a new concrete barrier wall and metal guardrail system on both sides of the roadway; installation of object marker signage and military load classification signage. The roadway must remain passable during construction.
