Description

Requirements:

The Biacore T200 incorporates specialized microfluidics, optics, and proprietary software that require routine preventive maintenance and manufacturer-certified service to maintain performance within factory specifications. Accurate and reproducible data are dependent on the proper operation and calibration of these integrated components. Because the system utilizes proprietary hardware, replacement parts, diagnostic software, and manufacturer-specific service procedures, only the original manufacturer is authorized and qualified to perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs.

Maintaining the instrument within manufacturer specifications is essential to ensure reliable operation, minimize downtime, preserve data quality, and support the laboratory's ongoing research activities. The data generated by this instrument contribute to NIH-supported studies and are used to support scientific publications and other research outcomes.

3.0 OBJECTIVE

The objective of this requirement is to procure a comprehensive manufacturer service agreement for the Biacore T200 Surface Plasmon Resonance instrument to ensure continued operation within manufacturer specifications. The service agreement will provide preventive maintenance, repairs, replacement parts, technical support, and performance verification necessary to maintain reliable instrument performance, minimize downtime, and support uninterrupted research activities conducted by the Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
