Backflow Preventer Upgrades

The work consists of furnishing all labor, expertise, equipment, materials, facilities, transportation, and appliances necessary to remove five existing backflow preventer systems varying in size and purpose and install five new backflow preventer systems at Buildings 33, 44, 48 and 65, McConnell AFB, KS. The contractor is responsible for removal, proper sizing, connections, installation, testing/certifying of the new backflow preventers, and providing documentation including installation date, manufacture, model, serial number, rebuild kit specifications, and description for each system. Specific systems include: a 6-inch diameter fire suppression backflow preventer at Building 33 Southwest Bay; a 4-inch diameter fire suppression and double check valve backflow preventer at Building 44 Room 122; a 1-inch diameter boiler makeup backflow preventer at Building 44 Room 118; a 4-inch diameter fire suppression backflow preventer at Building 48 Room 107; and a 2.5-inch diameter domestic water backflow preventer at Building 65 Room 154.
